“You’re waiting for a train. A train that’ll take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can’t know for sure. Yet it doesn’t matter.”
The last time I’ve been to this railway station many, many years ago when trains going into Malaysia were still available. Stepping into the now-emptied train station, there was a wave of nostalgia hitting me right in the face.
A train station that used to be bustling, used to be so crowded that you could actually get lost in it, is now being emptied. Without furniture and the people from back in the way, there’s nothing to keep the station alive. And now, only the building remains for people to reminisce.
But being at this train station, it reminds me of how much I actually enjoy train rides. I can still remember the sound that the train makes when it runs past their tracks and the stability of the train. I’d say, I haven’t taken enough trains to say that I’m okay with never boarding one anymore. In fact, until today, I will still prefer taking a train ride over a plane ride.
I’ve got no idea what I’m trying to get at but, I’m just feeling nostalgic and just trying to reminisce the days of trains.
